I am looking for the part number for a nonsmoker tray for a 98 boxster. The interior is black but not the A03 color code. I had ordered and returned that part from Sunset as it was the matte black finish. In my car, the seats/carpeting are gray, but the console and shift knob are black, just not matte black. Does anyone know what the correct part number for a nonsmoker tray in this older boxster black interior? Thanks.

James

What I see listed is 996 552 096 00 B12. B12 is the color code for black-gray. A03 is the black color code used in 2000 and newer.

For a MY98 Boxster they show the following colors:

996 552 096 00 B12 Black-grey

996 552 096 01 C02 Metal-grey

I would should pulling out your ashtray and check the color code on the end of the number. It will either be B12 or C02. Order accordingly.

The metal gray was for the sport design option. That is where Porsche painted some plastic parts grey, including the center console. You also got a 3 spoke steering wheel and sport seats.

Thanks for the info guys. I have been considering getting a non smoker tray for my 2000 with the sport design option, but I did not know what the color was called or what the part number was. Now I should be able to track one down.
