Hi, I've been lurking for a while now but decided to join to hopefully get some help from you guys.

So, basically, my wipers don't work and the car came that way so I'm not sure what the previous owner did to mess them up.
I checked fuses and relays which both seem to be fine but as far as i can tell the cable running to the wiper motor isn't getting any power. I also checked the switch stalk which is getting 12v dc and, in case it was the problem, manually jumpered the connection myself but to no avail.

So what i'm hoping is that someone can maybe tell me about how the whole thing is wired or where else I could look for problems.

Thanks

Edit: Fixed it, the stupid rain sensor connector was unplugged for some reason. Note to self, never buy salvaged cars and try to restore them, it's bad for your health lol

:welcome:

Both wipers are run by one motor and a linkage mechanism.

Sometimes the nut on one of the linkage arms comes loose and the motor runs and the wipers do not move.

Remove the plastic cowl (front hood open) and then operate the wipers to see if that is what is happening.

Thanks for the reply, the motor doesn't run because it seems it isn't getting power from the cable that runs into it from inside the car so I think it's an electrical problem somewhere along the line from the steering column switch to the motor
