Howdy Everyone,

I just completed a clutch kit replacement (clutch disk, pressure plate). After getting everything installed everything seemed to work great until reverse stops working.

I climb under disconnect the linkage and reattach it and it will works fine for a few minutes. A few miles down the road it stops working again. When I put in the reverse gear its like first gear or its just not letting me get all the way over but it sure looks like when looking at the shifter. I can repeat this process several times with the same results.

So here I am pinging all those great minds on here for help or suggestions..

Fire away with any questions you may have to help troubleshoot..

Transmission was lowered on a tranny jack sat there and was raised back into position.

And the cables are not knocked out of their mounting brackets on the transmission under the car?

Sorry for the late response. The cable retaining clips do not seem to be keeping the cable in its keeper.

Very common. You can just zip tie it in place.

One more question are you able to just replace the connection point on the cables? The piece that actually pops onto the ball point on the transmission.
