Does anyone know if there is a program or website that shows the compatible part numbers to the old 7L5 part numbers to the 955 part numbers.

Those are NOT old part numbers - they are new part numbers.

 

Porsche now mixes part number from all models - so a MY14 Cayenne may have parts starting with 958, 955, 999, 7P0, 7P5, 7PP,  N, or even WHT.

Since Porsche now has many models there are quite a few parts that are used on more than one model.

 

Plus if you think about it sooner or later they run out of part numbers and have to start using letters - or change part number length (which I image is a big inventory and computer parts ordering issue).

In the end nothing to worry about.

From further research I have been doing, my understanding is the 7L5 extensions are VAG parts numbers while the 955 extension are Porsche part numbers. For instance the parts on my 955 cayenne turbo are labeled with 7L5 extensions while looking in the PET catalog, all the parts for this car have 955 extensions, so I was trying to figure out what the comparible part numbers are.

I always assumed the 7L5 part numbers were VAG although that theory doesn't hold to my PCM which has a 7L5 part number and VAG was smart enough not to use the same Radio/Nav unit. Also my driveline (Turbo S) has a 7L5 part number but it may be shared with the V10 TDI for all I know. It would be nice for a cross reference to all Touareg VAG parts. I used the 7L5 part number off the OEM fuel filter to order a new one through the VW dealer for much less than Porsche's price, exact part number as the Touareg V8.
