Hey gang, where's the best place to get plastic tubing to place on the brake caliper while bleeding the brakes?

I couldn't find any at Auto Zone or O'Reilly.

Also, what about the suction tool like a giant syringe to suck the oil out of the opening left by a removed filter?

This same tool can also be used to remove as much brake fluid as possible out of the resevoir prior to replacing the fluid. I find it better than a turkey baster type of tool.

I got both of mine at a hardware store. The tubing is commonly called aquarium tubing. I also got a 50 cc syringe with a flat needle (looks like a steel tube) at a hardware store also. I think they said it was for oiling ceiling fans, etc. The syringe (and tubing) should be cleaned well afterwards.

If you purchase a product like the Motive Bleeder then it comes with it. If not, then as Loren said, make a trip to the local hardware store.

Loren is right, most good hardware stores have plastic tubing in various sizes. I found that a turkey basting injector syringe is great for suction, but the best is a thing called a MityVac which is a shop hand held vacuum device.

I used a turkey baster, along with the magneitc catch deal to bleed brakes. it was super cheeap and it sticks to the hub- :)
