I have the Mann filter wrench sold by Porsche and did not like it. You have to turn it with a 27mm wrench or socket. I then bought one made by Hazet. It has a square hole for a 3/8" ratchet extension. The Hazet part number is 2169 and you can find them for about $20 on ebay. Jeff

that wont work for a 2009 997! the oil filter is much larger and has a hex mold on it like seen on bmw's
