I have the leather sports seats that are a clam shell type back. When the seats are pushed all the way back, It hits the roll bar leaving a marks on the back of the seat. The back is the porsche "special silver metal paint" color and as far as I can find out, no touch up paint is available. I am considering covering this area with leather. That would hide the damage and hopefully prevent more damage.

Looked for someone selling a custom cover but to no avail,

Anyone tried this or have another solution?

Thanks

Ben, you might want to specify the model year as some seats were such that they fit under the roll bar when back far. Maybe other model years it was different as you describe. Or have there been mods to your seat mountings?

Right. Sorry. 2001 with sport package. That included sport seats. The seats(when pushed back) fit under the top of the roll bar but hit the cross bar and leave a mark across the top back of the seat. Back of the seat is painted with porsches silver metallic"special"paint.  Thought I would cover top of back of seat with leather/Alcantara to cover marks and prevent any more.

I have the same problem.

You can take the seat apart and repaint that way, or try to blend post-92250-140650162726_thumb.jpg

As apparently this shade is a pretty good match. I'll be doing it soon and will post how it turns out.
