new battery replacement for 2003 porsche 911 C4S

Hello,
I currently own the 2003 Porsche 911 C4S and try to swap out the battery that my brother give it to me.
The battery is World source One model 95RMF with 110 Amp hours, 850 CAA, 190 R.C. It's bigger than my original Porsche battery in the car by 5". This battery previously install on the 2007 Porsche caynene

Is this safe to install this battery in my car without damage any electrical system or the starter and alternator.
Please advise...

Does it have the proper vent kit and tubing? You can go buy a proper fitting battery from WalMart. About a $100.

I read the spec it's does have "valve regulated venting system but nothing indicate vent kit and tubing.

Do we need it?

If it is the "maintenance Free" battery, one that is sealed so that you do not have to add water, you will not need the vent hose.  If it has removable caps you will need to hook up the vent hose.  Many of us prefer sealed wet  or even better AGM or Gel type batteries.  If you get an acid spill in the area where the battery lives corrosion can be a nightmare.

 

Looking at the sheet you show, 

The upper one would need vent tube. 

The lower one is AGM, no vent tube needed.

Can someone explain the proper procedure for battery replacement on a 20011 Boxster S. Does hooking up a 9 volt battery to the cigarette lighter retain stations on radio along with seat.  What about the GPS is a security code needed to reactivate. I believe i was told by dealer that this isn't needed for 2011?

Not sure about the Boxster, by 2003 911 (996) had codes stored in the ECU or somewhere other then the radio.  I have had my 2003 battery disconnected and never lost radio presets. You will have to retrain the windows to get auto up/down functions.
