Hi all

I have a 2006 cayenne s

one thing noticed that when car is at idle I and I want to rev the car let say 1000 RPM

I will keep my foot steady at the pedal or very gentle press the needle or the car cannot hold the rpm

for example if I want to hold the revs above 2000 Rpm or above the needle or the rev well stay steady

only I press gently on the pedal to 1000 , 1200 .900 1300 the needle or engine rev fluctuate or rise to little above and try to go back to idle

no Fault codes

is throttle body not reading my input clueless ??

short I want to keep revs slightly above idle it well fluctuate

some times during heavy traffic moving slowly

a light press on the accelerator well cause the same symptoms the car well surge or like I am pressing the pedal and releasing it its like the throttle body adjusting itself or its not reading input if I press the prdal allittle deeper it well read properly or the car well move normally

I will try to make a video

Does the throttle body need cleaning?

I know that I had similar problems on a VW some years back which was solved by just cleaning with a throttle body spray. I have similar problems with a fairly new Honda lawn mower which has a surging problem with idle speed unless I spray the throttle entry with cleaner every year.

The first thing I would try is to calibrate the throttle adaption. You can try disconnecting the ground cable located near the left front seat ( with the ignition key removed ) for a few minutes, reconnect it and then turn the ignition key to position 2 without starting the engine and leave it on for approx 1 minute. Shut the key off then start the engine and see if that helps.
