Hi Everyone

In a bit of a rush as we depart for the ring in the morning.

Fitted new Pagid rotors and ebc yellow stuff pads to the front. Also a dot 4 fluid flush.

Suffering with the dreaded soft pedal. Wasn't sure if it was just new pads and rotors.

100 miles bedding in no improvement. 50 miles more spirited - still no improvement.

So to the 60-10 mph series of hard deceleration. 6 by 2 sessions with time to cool. No improvement.

Out of desperation a series of high speed emergency ABS stops and the pedal has come back to almost normal.

So the advice is do the brakes need flushing again both primary & secondary systems?

Thanking you all in anticipation.

Re-flush the system. If there was any chance your previous work got any air into the ABS/PSM system, cycle the ABS pump and control network while flushing.

Thanks for your reply.

Just finished bleeding the system no hint of any air not even the tiny bubbles. No chance of any air getting into the secondary system from my actions.

Being in a bit of a flap, asked same question on planet 9. There is a suggestion that reusing the shims may be the culprit. Never crossed my mind to get new shims

Live and learn.

Thanks again
