I recently bought a '14 Cayman S and will need access to the top of the engine soon. It seems as though the top cover isn't quite as easy to pop off like the 987. If you've done this or know how please reply with tips or instructions on how to remove this panel. Thanks.

While preparing for my X73 suspension upgrade I discovered how to access the engine. Remove the two rear trim pieces on each side of the storage area in the back. Remove the center aluminum cross piece and the two round covers. The carpet and foam can then be lifted and slid towards the rear of the car to access the engine cover plate.
