rubber seal twisted

Hello Porsche enthusiasts,

Only half an hour ago, while cleaning my 996 C4C, I noticed that the rubber seal connecting the body and the door on the right-hand side is twisted. This rubber seal (too bad, I don't know a better description in English) prevents the wiring linking the door and the body from getting wet.

I think I had better untwist this seal as quickly as possible, as I think that at some point the rubber will tear away.

I hope someone can tell me how to loosen the plug/rubber seal so I can put things right. Someone must have loosened it before. Shoddy workmanship.

Maybe a pic of what the problem is will help. I think you are talking about the rubber hose near by the door hinge but I can't see how that would be twisted unless it came apart at one end.

Indeed, it is the rubber hose near the door hinge. At some point the plug must have been disconnected and the wiring twisted one time while re-connecting the plug.
