Has anyone done a VR ECU flash tune on there cayenne? I spoke to the guys at vivid and they said they have had great success and feedback from customers that have used it. Does anyone know anything about this VR ECU TUNE?

I can see that no one has heard of this ECU FLASH TUNE before. Well, I took the leap of faith and purchased this flash. I'm here to tell anyone who has a CS that its worth every penny! If you have a turbo, its even BETTER! Very easy, very simple to install. My CS drives better then ever and I'm getting better gas mileage as well. Believe it or not, I am. When I mesh the peddle and get on it, the CS moves like its never done before. The trans shifts smoother as well. I mean everything runs better overall. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone. If anyone was even thinking of doing this, I would shell out the 700 bucks and get it done. Its worth it, believe me I was extremely leary shelling out 700 bucks. But after I asked actual people that have installed this, about this VR TUNE, I was sold. Again, i'm just expressing my opinion. I hope this helps.

This is from vivid.com....you cannot buy it off eBay, contact them and speak to any sales rep. I dealt with Dan Mermalstein, he is one of the head guys there. They ship you out a obd2 connector that goes onto your computer, you download the existing ecu info and then they help you download the updated flash. It's really simple and if your having problems they can log onto your computer and donit from there office. It's really a great product. Look them up and call them for a more detail breakdown.

How much did your MPG improve? Very interested in something along these lines as I would for the truck to shift better, MPG is at a all time low.

I gained 2 mpg. ITs not much, but its way better then what I was getting. I was getting 12 mpg combined, now i'm getting 14.5 combined... I was getting 12mpg before because I added a few upgrades, CAI, FABSPEED EXHAUST with Catback system, plus I added wider tires to justify my 21 inch GTS wheels. So with all that, my mpg went down a lot. Now i'm getting 14 city and 19 hwy...... Combined between 14.5 and 15 mpg.... not bad. Shifting is smoother, quicker, an there is more power in the low to mid range. The lag is not as bad as it was before the FLASH. Over all, i'm very happy. For a simiple flash, you get a big bang for your buck. And its not in my mind, you can feel all this extra power in the seat of your pants. Hope this all helps...

More power, drivability and fuel economy sounds good.

If you like, there's a really cool app called Dynolicious. It's only $9.99. You can test HP for a base line as you ad mods. Finding a solid location to put the phone is about the hardest part. It just needs to have the screen facing somewhere between upward and toward the back of the car. The phone can't be sideways or crooked. It's important to put a real weight for the car in there too.

If you want to get technical you can keep track of weather for corrections and keep notes also. Just use DA converter. This also keeps things real if people compare to each other.

My '04 CTT 955 definitely had an accelerator lag and would power spike all at once with the turbo. I researched and came across Vivid Racing and their ECU flash - it was DIY - you buy the cable and they email you the mod file after you upload your record of the ecu program. It's all done thru the odb reader and takes a PC laptop. Goes quickly - no techs or special skills needed.

I can concur with many in this thread that now that she's flashed, throttle response is way faster and the turbo is much more controlled and smooth as accelerate. Like an entirely different truck. Recommended...
