I bought some LEDs to replace the rear lights. From www.superbrightleds.com.

I looked at the manual to take out the rear lights. Pretty simple. Took out the two holding screws. Easy. The hard part is to take out the entire rear light assembly, as manual says. But the thing is pretty hard to come off. I tried to use more force but it would not budge.

Anyone knows how to take it out without any damage???

leather glove and 9 inch flat blade screwdriver.

use the glove to protect the paint.

after you remove the screws the only thing left is a ball and socket connector. It takes carefully applied pressure on the screw driver. about 1 third the way up slide the blade behind the lens and while holding the lens, lean on the driver with your hip. Apply steady pressure but do not jerk it as you WILL crack it.

Lean on it using body weight increasing pressure slightly until it pops out.

Did you ever finish this job..

I would also like to do it on my CTT... How did the rear turn signals turn out...Any weird blinking problems due to the power differences in the bulbs??

I would also like to do the turning bulbs in a white color and wondered if you just did the rear's or if you did all lights...
