Hi can anyone help me please? My abs light and psm light came on i took the car to have the code checked i was told the pressure sensor had gone on the abs unit. I took the until to be repaired they've told me water as got in the abs pump as seized the motor so it can not be repaired! i've looked around for parts i've found a unit that all parts codes match, module and pump, so can this just be fitted to my car or does it need reprogramming? if it does need reprogramming does this have to be done with both pumps off the car?

Thanks

Ricky

At a minimum, you will need access to either a PIWIS or Durametric system to correctly flush and bleed the system after the parts are installed.

My cars at my friends garage now he's got the durametic for reading code etc but i've been given the task of getting another pump thats why i was asking if they are interchangeable ( when codes match) or if they have to be reprogrammed because i don't want to buy one and it cant be used...

Thanks

Update, my mate has rang Zentrum porsche specialist they've told him to fit the new abs unit (with matching part codes to mine) bleed the system, get the car to them and they will reprogram and clear codes for £25! happy days!
