Hi everyone. I just purchased an after-market Carbon Fiber dash package and I'm having difficulty removing the cup holder assembly. Does anyone have experience with this? The after-market instructions say it just pulls out (with force). I've put a lot of force on it and it doesn't want to budge. The installation instructions also say the new one "clicks" into place which indicates it does have some sort of locking mechanisms, which I assume are on the "slide rails", on each side, that it slides onto? Any advice would be appreciated. I did look for any mounting screws and didn't detect any.

Thanks.

Jeff

There are two holes in the bottom of the cupholder assembly, near the back.  You can see them on your new assembly.   Those holes give you access to retainer clips mounted to the top of the glove compartment that catch on the assembly.  You need to stick a screwdriver up through those holes and push up on the clips to unlatch them from the cup holder assembly.
