First post on here. Started the car today and heard a very loud whistling from the turbos. Shut it off checked the oil and started it back up and all is good. It has 85,000 miles. Bought the car a few months ago with one of the turbo seals already replaced, if not both. Not sure if it was just a lack of oil at the turbos right away or a sign of an early death. If it is in fact nearing the end, how bad of a job is it to pull and swap the turbos myself? The shop that did the seals only charged 1400 including basic maintenance, so it probably isn't as big as I expected. Or it could just be horrible and I could be way off. I'd love some feedback from anyone who has experience with this problem, all is appreciated! Thanks

How do you know the whistling was from the turbos, and not an accessory bearing? Did you rev the motor and the whistling matches the spooling up and down of the turbos?
