Install ECM 70 miles from dealer

Hello, Heavy rain got into interior, shorted ecm disabeling unit, i think i need to replace.

I am about 70 miles from dealer, car wont start, tried to get replacement unit but learned that i needed the car to be at dealer to program any suggestions on how to install replacement and avoid dealer or overdide or repaie existing unit ?

There isn't any way to do that unless you have someone bring a PIWIS to your location; the systems have to be coded to acknowledge each other and allow the car to start.

If your immobilizer unit under the seat simply got wet, pull it out and open it up, rise it with isopropyl alcohol and allow it to dry. Check the fuse in the immobilizer itself, replace if necessary. Once dry, they often fire right up...
