HELP! HUGE WOBBLE IN FRONT OF CAR!

All of the sudden I feel the car juddering when driving over all surfaces.

It's noticable from the driversseat but twice as bad in the passengerseat where you're physically rocked around?!

It feels as if one tyre is completely flat or one of the wheels is buckled.

- All 4 wheels are tightened properly

- Original Porsche 20" wheels

- wheel nuts/studs not broken

- wheels not damaged

- all 4 tyres at the correct pressures

- not visible damage to the tyres

- no side to side play in the wheels

- no knocking and/or scraping noises

- no juddering in the brakepedal

- no errorcodes

- airsuspension works on all settings, no errorcodes

- adjusting rideheight or suspensionmode has no effect

It seems like it's coming from the passengerside of the car and when I reverse is seems the front wheel is moving up and down??

Any ideas what this can be??

A common problem on these vehicles is the lower control arm bushings. You may want to take a look at that and the rest of your suspension components.

So you mean a bush could have collapsed or something of the sort?

Sounds like relatively easy and cheap fix?

Hold on though: there's no vibration in the car and no noise whatsoever.....and it feels like a huge wobble as if the wheel isn't round anymore but squared off....!!!

Does this sound like a lower control arm problem?

The wobble starts as soon as you set off, speed doesn't make a difference!

One way to rule out the wheels and tires is to rotate the tires. If moving the front tires/wheels to the rear does not move the vibration, then you know the wheels and tires are not the problem.

You really need to get this on a lift, and check for any loose suspension components. I'd also check the right front axle. If the CV joint boot is torn, that's a red flag. But usually a bad axle will make noise, especially in tight slow turns.

SORTED!!!

Swapped all four wheels for my winterset and the problem is GONE!!!

Checked the summerwheels and found one dodgy tyre: Offside rear seems to be concave over the width of the tyre, especially in one specific place...?

Never seen something like it, what can cause this?
Tyre coming apart or collapsing on the inside?
