replacing the stock amp

as the title says. i don't want anything big/heavy or any expensive custom work, just something that can fit in the stock location (in the hood/trunk above the spare tire).

anyone know of something that fits?

Around 2000 Porsche came out with a High Performance Audio System. It was hot at the time. It was a retrofit kit and I think you could get it as a factory option. It came with a more powerful amp and better speakers. The amp was an exact replacement for the standard amp.

The HPAS sort of went away when Bose came out. It use to be in the tequipment catalog. I am not sure if it is still available. I saw just the amp on ebay a few weeks ago and there were no bids. Don't think people knew what it was.
