I'm looking for recommendations on products to clean and protect the non-leather surfaces of the interior. I'm not really a fan of Armorall but in fairness, I haven't used their products in the past 10 years.

I use Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner on the leather and I'm reasonably happy with the results. Any recommendations on detailing the leather are welcome as well.

Aero 303 as mentioned is the best. Also to be used on leather (that sees a lot of sunlight) as it contains a sunscreen component. Not a fan of the smell or feel after using lexol...I use Zaino for leather that comes in contact with skin.

Ive tried a bunch of SONAX products lately and have been satisfied - the dash cleaner leaves like a matte finish rather than a greasy amoral look.

a couple good choices then it looks like ... i also got a recommendation for a set of Wolfgang products for use on both leather and synthetic materials. I think I'll try a few of them and report back. Thanks everyone

I watched the video ... a lot of good techniques regardless of the product manufacturer ... now I want a steamer ...

I did try Wolfgang's "Leather Care Cleaner" and "Cockpit Trim Sealant;" and I got incredible results. I've completed the dash, door panels and rear seats so far. The cleaner is easy to use and has a really pleasant smell. I used the soft brush technique I saw in the video Jason referenced above on the rear seats. I followed up with the cock pit trim and I was amazed. The surfaces look new, dry and uniform across all surfaces. I'll need to see how the surface treatments hold up over time.

In comparing with Lexol's cleaner and leather treatment I felt the Wolfgang system is easier to use, provided a deeper clean and left the surfaces looking drier, more showroom like, in my side by side comparison to Lexol. I've always used Lexol and it's proved to be a good choice over time, if the Wolfgang product holds up then I'll make a switch.

I still want to try some of the other recommendations, especially the 303 series as the cost seems much lower than Wolfgang for like items in general.

You can't go wrong with Lexol's products. Just replaced my front seats thru Leatherseats.com and they recommend Mother's Products.

Well it's been a couple of months and I can report the Wolfgang products have held up fantastically. I just did a quick dust and re-touch on the dash ... simple.

I use Zaino Z10 on all leather items. Non leather (plastic, rubber and vinyl and tires), I use 303. Great results for both.

Gordon24 - saw from another thread that you're in the Bellevue WA area. Metropolitan Detail sells Sonax. I've been very happy with that for the same reasons that Electrict pointed out.

GromitInWA and gordon24 we should connect up in the Bellevue or Newcastle area sometime! It would be great to connect up with some Porsche owners in the Western Washington area.

sorry guys, I hadn't notice the connect aspect of the post ... I'd be happy to meet up at sometime ... get to know some of the other 996 folks in the area.

I'm heading to Pacific Raceway this Friday for an afternoon lapping session if either of you are planning to go let me know ...
