1985 911 Cabriolet - Speedo works / Odometer&Tripometer not workin

I've searched and can't seem to find anything on this topic either.

I also can't find ANTHING at all, on the odometer in the Service Manual.

The service manual only talks about the speedometer sensor.

The speedometer and cruise work fine, but the odometer/tripometer are dead...

Both just stopped working at my last fill-up when I reset the tripometer (to track fuel mileage) - trip stayed at 0000 and the odometer has not moved 1/10th of a mile since. Great way to keep my mileage down - but not the way I really want to do it. :D

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks!

There is a small plastic gear in the speedometer which is prone to breaking, which could be your problem. I have a DIY repair sheet which was in our club magazine. If you drop me a PM with your email address I'll send you a copy.

Edit: or this might help: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/196987-odometer-gear-replacement-electronic-speedometers-long.html
