hi guys i am getting ready to install my v1 in my 03 boxster and know a few have placed it in a stealth box located on the roll bar in front of the windscreen.has any one with this set up had any problem with it seeing the radar signal?can it see out the front glass as good as mounting it on the front windshield? thanks...dave

Dan Feinberg started this a few years ago and several local Boxster owners did it. It works fine. There is a window in the back of the box for the laser detector. Jeff

thanks,I got the box about a year ago for my 996 and never used it so i thought its time to install into my 986.i have seen pages on the install but haven't seen any on how the remote display wires into the unused telephone wire setup can you point me in the direction for an 03?thanks again,dave

There is a power adapter that came with your remote display (or V1, I forgot as I got them at the same time). On it there are two RJ11 ports, one for powering your V1 and one for the remote. Further instructions are included in your V1 manual.
