Under car tubing damaged!

While jacking up my 996 Carrera I noticed two steel tubes running parallel under the passenger side door that are not underneath the plastic underbody guards. The two are different in size, one being smaller and the other about twice as large. The larger of the two lines has been collapsed about one half of its original size, not good and will need replacement.

I am having a little head scratching trying to figure out which line this is as I am pretty sure that all coolant lines run up the center of the car and underneath the plastic underbody panels, maybe a fuel vent line? The line that is damaged is just inboard of the front passenger side jacking point.

If its cracked then just aluminium weld them back together.......

If it is just bent then its not an issue...

Hi Maor,

It is just collapsed, no cracks evident. So this is an AC line for environment control inside the car. Thank you the help.

Those are the AC lines... I find it hard to believe that either of them are "collapsed," more likely bent/ dented/ beat up. Unless it's completely crushed, and doesn't leak, I wouldn't worry tooooooo much...
