I am planning on installing a boost gauge and wanted advice from the forum on which line I should tap into to get the most accurate readings on my 04 ctt

I will say maybe tap in by the plenum that will give accurate reading to both side of boost coming together and after the intercooler too. You'll know how much boost are really going into your system.

Is the dash boost gauge not working?

If you only need to see positive boost, then anywhere in the plumbing is fine. if you need to see vacuum, you will need to find a port on the manifold itself inbetween the throttle body and intake ports on the heads.

The dash gauge works but as you know it is not really accurate and I would like a gauge to get an accurate reading of boost with my tune. I will probably try to find a way to connect near the intake manifold on the back near the firewall where the hoses are coming off

I will say drill tap the ipd plenum if you want accurate measurements. I'm looking to do a custom plenum here and have piping done for external boost gauge. You tried on stock plenum and use some sort of sealant or epoxy to seal around the installed tubing for the boost measurement.
