Hi, im currently having problems fitting my spoiler switch which is the one that tells you when the spoiler is going up or down but also the one where I can put it up or down from the dash. I have done the wires to the old switch which is fine but on the 4 wires that plug into the cluster plugs I have an issue, it says green (double ended) wire to black/ white, And white/green in blue connector, i have no white/ green and have two black/ whites, do u know which pin numbers i need to put them in? The other wires to the white connector and black connector are married up fine to the colour coded wires. 1999 carrera 4. Any ideas as my dash is in bits?

thanks.

If you look on the bottom of the switch there are 5 connections - A1 through A5.

Tell me what color wire goes to each connector and I will tell you where they go. A2 is not used.

Loren,

Excuse my stupidity, I was looking at the car plug rather than the switch. I have included a photo, Part number is 98661313400.

Does this help.

thanks

That's not good, Defo is that number. It does work though i.e raises and lowers spoiler and also flashes as it moves its just it doesn't stay lit when extended and I believe the two prong green wire which on closer inspection is in A1 on the switch. I have dropped the seller an e-mail but as yet no reply.

Thanks again

Ok I got it working even though it seems its a demister switch, two prong green went to 12 and 25 in blue plug this controls the flashing as the spoiler is moving, I had the brown wire in the wrong slot, slot 9 is correct as there are two wires pretty much the same. The guy has sold a lot of these with good feedback but his instructions could have been better as the wire colour was wrong for slot 25. Anyway happy days and thank god for wiring diagrams on the net. Thanks for your time Loren
