Ok, so everyone knows about the Cayenne S throttle lag.. Well, I've found a permenant fix to this issue... Here is what I've done below.... I have a 2005 Cayenne S with 44k on the clock....

First, I did a cold air intake by AGENCY.... then I did Fabspeed maxflo mufflers and cat deletes with 2 resonators to quiet down the sound, just enough to still have that deep V8 tone....

Now, after doing the above upgrades, I realized it really didn't help much, so I went and bought a chip for the Cayenne. Now I know a alot of you really don't like these chips that you read online, but I did a lot of research and I came up with one Chip that is 100% guaranteed to work or my money back as well as others that I know that have used it on there 911's and boxters. This is the JDM Performance stage 3 chip. Once I installed this chip, it took about a week before you see its full potential. Let me tell you, I'm very pleased with this chip. I'm not only getting better gas mileage, but my engine is smoother, quieter, tranny shifts like butter, you can't even feel it shift. My performance has increased, the lag was still there but not as bad as it was before.

Even after doing all the above, I was still not happy with the throttle lag. So, finally by sure luck, I was on my BMW forum, I also have a couple of beemers as well, and everyone, i mean everyone raves about this SPRINT BOOSTER mod. So, i did some research on this as well, and sure enough I was sold! 3 year guaranteed warranty no questions asked, and a 30 day money back guarantee. I said what the heck and took the chance. Well, let me tell you, its the best upgrade you can do for your cayenne! I swear by it, I love it! I don't work for this company, so I don't want anyone to think I'm a spokes person. I just am so happy, I got rid of that **** throttle lag. It was SOOOOO ANNOYING! I just wanted to share my experience with everyone on the forum. Simple Mod, with instant results. Now, my chip adapts to the booster so its adjusting the timing and shifting peramitors, and its so quick, so different, it now feels like a TRUE PORSCHE!

Having gone from an S with lag to a TT I now realize the S power curve did not match the transmission. When you get to 500, in sport, there is zero lag

Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, $500 for both. Like I said, I know I spent a little extra on some items that I could have done without, but the $500 was the best bang for my buck that I have spent on my cayenne. Its so worth it. And yes, I agree, the tranny is not designed for the S, its designed mostly for the CTT. But, at least now, I enjoy the cayenne better then ever before.

Well ... I just ordered the Sprint Booster. I'll post as soon as I get it installed and let you know how it works for me.

I've always been a skeptic too but the more positive feedback the better. I figured you just push the throttle down faster. When the PSM is off the response is immediate but their is a hesitation with it on. I installed a Eurocharged tune almost two years ago and it did help a little with the throttle response but still not where I want it.
