Hello everyone.

I'm about to pick up my new Carrera S and I was wondering if anyone had any information on where to get a CDC-4 other then the dealer?

Posted (edited)

...Scott from Continental Imports actually replied to an e-mail I sent and said he can get one for my Carrera S for $890.50us...

I guess he's special ordering it. I still think that's steep, but my dealer wants $1,400.00cdn!!!

According to the TSB install instructions you will still need to purchase an

Optical waveguide (4 choices) depends if you have or have not Bose and Nav in combination with each other.

Additionally you will have to visit your dealer to have them code the PCM with their PIWIS tester.

A local Boxster owner bought the CDC-4 about a year ago for $659 from Brandywine. Then he also had to buy the fiber optic kit. You also need a PST2/PIWIS to turn it on.

It is a Becker unit but Becker will not sell it. Scott must be buying it from a Porsche dealer.

Yes try sunset imports I just purchased CDC-4 from them at around £450 UK and then had installed by Main Dealer for an additional charge of £400 inc vat which included the correct optic cable.

Hope this helps!

I just bought my car 3 days ago and I would sell you mine if you have not bought one yet.
