I have 27k on the car, with 6mm depth left on the front pads.

I have been advised by my shop to replace them soon. If they were

standard steel rotors I would consider them good for several K more.

I am looking for suggestions of other manufactures of pads for pccb.

Is Porsche the only source for pads?????

Arctic silver 05 TT S, X50, BB Lemans exhaust and headers,GT3 shift, BBS IMS wheels

Just buy OEM Porsche pads at Sunset. Fronts are about $328 and rears are $358. They are not that much more than standard pads, $213 and $151 respectively.

How hard are you driving the car. I know of people that have over 100k and they have 80% left. This is not Normal unless you are racing. You may want to check on something else is going on.

+ 1 for Dr Wood, either you have no PCCB brake system or there is something wrong with. Check this out first.

I have not tracked this car, yet. I do drive it like it is meant to be.....

I am having trouble finding the spec's on what a new set of PCCB pads start out at?

I have seen reference to 10mm and 8mm.

I plan to pull the fronts off this weekend and mic them, and check the wear pattern.

For the most part I was looking for advice on pads from other manufactures than Porsche.

But I guess, in most cases, it's hard to outsmart the boys in Stuttgart...........

Call Phil Coy (503-641-8600) at the Sunset Porsche parts department, and ask him. Great guy!!
