I upgraded to the Litronic HID lights a few weeks ago (self installed). They seem to light up everything!! Trees, houses, etc. Do they usually need to be aligned, or do they come from the factory pretty close?

I've never aligned headlights before. Is it pretty easy to do following the instructions in the owners manual, or worth avoiding potential road rage from some disgruntled oncoming driver and taking it to the dealer to get dead on? Are we talking precision adjustments here, or is anywhere close good enough?

Get them checked atleast. Driving around with unaligned headlights (especially HIDs) is dangerous because you could be blinding other drivers and not knowing it. Your dealer should have a tool to check headlight alignment. It literally takes less than 5 minutes to check.

Im not too familar with everything that the litronic upgrade includes but do everyone else on the road (and possibly yourself if you blind an oncoming driver and get in a head on crash) a favor and get them checked.

hi ,I have just got hold of a pair of litronics for my 00 boxster S. after fitting them i have noticed that the level sensors seem to be set at different heights. i have read many posts on the fact that there is no retro fit kit for the level sensors. my intention was to fit the lights without ,but assumed that the lights would be positioned somewhere in the mid position of adjustment. does anyone know of a way to motor the lights down so that i am able to set up the lights. there are only four control pins for the level adjustment motor so it should'nt be too hard to work this out if i had access to a wireing diagram.
