Hi all,

I've got a Boxster S 986 (2003) with a cdr 23 + Amp as sound system (option M490).

I was this morning by my dealer to perform a clima service. I asked the engineer if he can program the option "adaptive sound", so that the volume increases with the speed.

He replied me that he couldn't program this option? he couldn't find it on his computer, the famous PIWIS.

Does anyone know something about this feature ? Is it possible to program it direct on the CDR 23?

Thank you in advance !

Stephane

The "GAL" function is set in the radio not with PIWIS.

The setting is only available if there is no sound package installed.

See page 19 of the CDR-23 Owner Manual (if oyu do not have one you can download one here)

On mine you just go to the menu and turn ap on or off. No computer required on the Bose option

I think he has the Harman sound system so that is not likely available there.
