I have a 2008 Boxster, 5 speed. I've owned this car from day one. This past weekend the original battery bit the dust. I had to push start it, to get it home. I stopped and added a few gallons of gas on the way home, cause the fuel gauge was not registering. I put the car on a trickle charger (cig lighter attachment) and replace the battery with an Interstate. The car starts and runs perfectly, everything works fine, the radio presets are all there, etc. Each time I start it, I get a churp and an error message, "system fault visit workshop"? Will this correct on it's own? It's been about three days and still going. Thx

Depending upon what is causing it, it may clear. A better idea would be to scan the car with a Porsche specific system (PIWIS, Durametric), see what the problem is, and reset what ever is annoyed. Should only take a few min. of shop time.
