Hi All,

I had the air box out of my 2000 996 this weekend and when I went to put everything back together, I saw a plug that I don't remember unplugging...and I don't see what it would plug into. I put everything back together without plugging this into anything and the car seems to be running fine...and no dash lights are lit.

The plug is wrapped in the same bundle/loom of wires that includes MAF sensor wire.

Can anyone shed some light on what this is?

Thanks in advance.

-Rob P.

I also have a plug in that area that doesn't seem to have a socket, but there is a blank receiver to keep it in place. I assumed it was for some device that I do not have. I also look forward to the replies.

I've got my money on the Klingon deflector shield.

I'm with you on this. My friends 99 has the same plug sitting on the side not plugging into anything. Oh his car he does have a little slot on the right side behind the O2 sensor plugs.
