I got my '01 996 in October of 2012. It has the headlamp washer nozzles in place on each headlamp. However, when I activate the washers according to the owners manual, no fluid comes out. My windshield washers work fine. Is there another source of fluid for the headlamp washers? I assumed the windshield washer reservoir would be the fluid source. Can anyone throw some light on this for me? Thanks.

Your likely cause of the problems are:

- bad pump (up under the left front fender).- or disconnected hose, cracked tank or other leak

- a bad switch

- wiring damage
