Headlight bulbs

Starting the day with dumb question. In the headlight assembly there is a small bulb in the upper outside corner. Is this a parking light bulb? Dealer salesman told me my '04 C2 didn't have front parking lights (bs?), seamed odd to me. Both bulbs are not working. While I am in there any other bulb to upgrade to maybe silverstar? Thx for replies.

Is this the one you're asking about? (circled in red). That should be the position light. You might find this link helpful:

That's it, but what is a position light? Equal to parking light?

Just took passenger side out and bulb was good, do these bulbs work in tandem, as in if one is out so is the other?

It's just a small light to illuminate the light housing when the running lights are activated. These burn out quite often (I've done the replacement 3 times, no others in the headlight assembly) but are very easy to replace....and cost just ~ $3.

Even if the filament looks ok, I wouldn't necessairly assume it's good -- they can have bad connections in the bulb itself. I would probably start by getting a new bulb.

New bulbs did the trick - old bulbs sure looked ok as far as the filaments.

Figured they would. Glad you got it sorted and it was that easy/cheap.
