Well my check engine light is back on. How easy is it to replace the sensor DIY style.

Last 2 of my DIY projects ended with completed by dealer. Is this one not worth it?

Loren,

I seen that thread before. I will call dealer to get Pcodes on Tuesday. Having CE is not very comfortable feeling and it sounds that replacing MAF sensor is not that complex. I seen prices online for $100+, which substantially less then dealer, and he wants to do anyway.

Where is it located and what is the size of torx. Also how do I reset CE light afterwards?

Thanks,

Gery

I beleive it is a T-20 Security Torx

It is on the air cleaner housing on the right side. You will need to squeeze the connector and unplug the cable first. The air cleaner does not need to come out but this is the only pic I have that clearly shows the MAF sensor.

You will need access to an ODBII scan tool (like the one I mentioned in this post) or get a dealer with a PST2 to do it for you.
