I keep breaking the small retainer clip located on top of the rear seats under the headrests that catches the back seats when folding them down. Seems to be a weak part or maybe clumsy operator.

Anyone know where to get after market or have some I can buy?

Dealer charges about $70 and I know that is high but cannot seem to find elsewhere.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Just to let you know my 2005 CS has the same problem... purchased the SUV used with the right rear seat "retainer clip" broken. The left one is fine. Not only that, there are many missing "rubber stoppers" that are located under the rear seats seen when the seats are folded forward. So far, I haven't noticed any noises caused by the missing stoppers but then I don't know how the suv sounds like with them.

I won't be looking to replace the retainer clip since it would probably break again. As you know its made of a hard material that doesn't seem to be designed to sustain repeated "normal" use.

I did locate the retainer in case anyone needs to find a source for $22 at Jim Ellis Audi Parts website. www.jimellisaudiparts.com/

Audi part - exact match!!

Part number 3B9885557. b41 is black. Don't know the other color codes.
