My front 2005 CS brakes will need replacing soon. Has anyone tried the "PowerStop Brake Kit" yet? Online its going for $291.67. Seems like a good value. My concern is disk warpage over time. I've read many posts here and am still tempted to order the PowerStop Kit. Other alternative I am thinking of is Hawk Performance Ceramic pads (as per a post). Hawk Quiet Slot rotors look interesting too. I think EBC YellowStuff will be too much for my regular everyday communting. I actually don't like the "quick bite" that my current pads have.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

ps. Was asking the Porsche parts guy whether or not the OEM brake pads comes with "anti squeak" compound... he confidently said "don't need it". My brakes sqeak.

I'm using the EBC Yellows on a CTTS and like them better than stock. Dust slightly less, no squeal, and cost less. I had a bad experience with using the Powerstop on an Audi years ago (warping) and haven't tried them again.

I have 60k on Hawk Performance HPS Ceramic Brake Pad HB501F.625/502F.606 and 996GT3 rotors that replaced the originals at 50k. I am putting a new set of pads on next week. They have been great. no dust, no squeaks and last a lot longer than any pad I've tried on any car. Swapped them onto my wife's '06 Titanium too. Her wheels are gray and the dust from the OEM pads was unbearable and the problem disappeared.
