Hi,

I am currently importing my Swiss 2003 Turbo into the UK. I have to change the headlights so the dip is in the opposite direction.

I know the part numbers from PET are as follows:

955-631-157-10 to 41 (revised) Bi-Xeon

&

955-631-158-10 to 41 (revised) Bi-Xeon

It appears that most of the headlights advertised on fleabay are Valeo units, the numbers coresponding to the above PET numbers are as follows:

88411 3276420884118

&

88412 3276420884125

But they all show a 7L5 941 **** number on the photos on fleabay.

The question is what is the correct 7L5 number that coresponds to the original PET numbers?

7L5 numbers are VW numbers for the Touareg series, they are not Cayenne numbers. It is true that the vehicles share some parts but headlight assemblies are not one of them.

I'm not sure why they are listing the 7L5 numbers, I know when I give those numbers to my OPC they can't come up with anything.

The numbers on the headlights are assembly numbers not complete headlights.

Porsche and VW shared some parts hence the Porsche approved logo at the top left.

The PET numbers are correct.

So how does one ensure that the information for the part numbers from PET match the numbers on fleabay? Is anywhere on the headlights that the correct part numbers can be found? I want to be sure that the unit is the latest.

An up-to-date PET will always have the latest part number. We (RennTech.org) have access to the latest PET and Porsche online parts lists - so we can always check for you.

Ebay is eBay - how do you know that they are selling the latest? I don't think that is possible. Many times eBay sellers show one photo and ship something else.

There are several discount Porsche sources online that sell OEM Porsche parts and can get you the latest. A good one close to you is Carnewal in Belgium.

Agreed about ebay, best to actually go and see the parts before buying.

BTW: I have the latest PET and prices, was just seeing if I could get cheaper elsewhere, but probably not actually worth the heartache.

Thanks for all the help.
