I'm going in for the kill and will have a write up following shortly after. I'll be changing the thermostat and I believe the high pressure fuel pump is somewhere in the same area. This is where I need some help. If some one can confirm that the (high pressure) fuel pump is in fact near the front of the engine it would save me some time and trouble. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

the pumps are in fact under the rear seats, you have to lift cutouts in the carpeting to access the covers

The high pressure fuel pump location is dependent on engine type

DFI engines have an HPFP in the engine bay.

The exact schematic I got from Porsche. Turn it clockwise twice and you have your location

^^^ Will turning it anti clockwise do the trick as well?

lol, What ever way you prefer? Counterclock wise, clock wise, whatever just flip it around and that'll give you an idea.
