Is anyone familiar with the I7VE option on the cayenne which involves the right fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator with the auxiliary heater component. On my 04 CTT, I checked my VIN in the PET which does not list this option as being on my vehicle but I wanted to find out if anyone has this option or this an European thing. Is it possible to replace the right fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator with the auxiliary heater instead of the ones without the heater to upgrade or does this option not really necessary unless you are in a really cold environment.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you thinking the fuel pump needed to operate the heater will be an upgrade over the standard pump?

wvicary, if you look up the part numbers in PET for the right fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator, there is a model listed as with axuillary heater and without auxillary heater and has the labeling I7VE option for the ones that have the auxillary heater. For instance 95562084110 is the model number for fuel pressure regulator without auxillary heater and part number 95562084130 is the fuel pressure regulator with auxillary heater. What I am trying to find out is what is the auxillary heater option?

Aux heater is a separate system which can turn on automatically when no one is in the car, to prewarm the cabin prior to you driving off.

It has a separate combustion furnace with exhaust.

It uses the engine coolant as the medium in which it transfers heat to the cabin.

Clever those Germans.

bigbuzuki has it in one. I've never seen the units in NA ( like the retractable trailer hitch ) and think they are only a Europe thing. I think they had a timer you programmed or a remote for operation.
