I am seeing what seems to be small oil droplet deposits on my rear bumper and decklid after a long drive. Oil level good, no leaks anywhere, brand new turbos. 2002MY with cat-less Speedtech X-flow and EPL program. Has anyone experienced this?

Spoilers are dry. It's the color of oil and feels like oil. Small drops that look like they were "misted" on with a spray bottle. It is spread all over the bumper cover and decklid/tail lights. I'll snap a photo next time im at the car.

Strange. a mist like that can come from the exhaust. Any oil deposit in the exhaust? How is your oil consumption? Any oil leak under or on top of the engine? Oil smell in the engine compartment?

Posted

No oil leaks, normal consumption and no oil smell anywhere. Exhaust tips get black/dirty as they have before under extensive use.

It can also be from someone else in front of you or oil on the pavement! If all the oil levels are good, clutch reservoir, power steering reservoir and of course engine oil level and you don't see any leaks you should be good.....

One other item might be the spoiler pump itself this can leak and get all over cover and the actuators themselves could be dry - had the pump leak on my 2004 TT Cabriolet

Rear bumper only, dry pavement.
