Hi y'all,

I hast got the new mount pressed in at the local shop, can you guys please confirm its correct. BOTH arrows are point up to the notch, but the pelican part insert (on right in pic) looks way different on the center metal shape. And the plastic spacers, just trim to fit?

Thanks in advance!

Chris

Yep, as far as I recall, the whole center piece rotated 180 degrees on the newer "upgraded" mount. The tabs need to face the same way they were originally installed, to prevent metal to metal contact. Sure you could trim to fit, but I just forced mine on and they fit fine. :)

Yes it looks right, in the "top" of both mounts you'll see there is rubber to insulate in a "bottom out" condition.... so if you look at your picture they are both correctly oriented, the engine would be suspended "above" in your picture.

If you had it the other way around the weight of the engine would cause the inner metal portion of the mount to contact the outer metal part, rendering it useless.
