While at my dealer today, a guy was picking up his new GT3. On his trade (don't recall what the trade was) he has the PSS9's. He and the dealer told me they are removing them from the car and making it stock again. I have been given the option of getting that set if no one at the dealer takes them. He said there are about 10,000 miles on them.

Is it a good or bad idea to get them used? If ok, what would a fair price be?

Thanks

Jeff

Not sure about buying a used set of coilovers with 10K miles on them. I would do some research first and find out from bilstein what the life expecatncy on those are. Problem is you have no idea what use/abuse they saw. Personally, I would just get a new set if that is what you are after. But if all things check out I would think you could get them for about $500 or so. Remember, they are model and transmission specific so there is a compatibility issue that you may not have checked out (you sated you didn't know what he was trading).

Thanks, yeah, I'm aware of the "model nd transmission" specifics, and I thought 10000 miles was alot. I plan to buy a new set, esp since the car is new....but I thought I would ask anyway :D

They actually might be... Contact NavyDoc on this forum. You can find them in the GT3 forum now. Contact him and he may be able to help you out. If he can't due to the fact that it's now the dealers car, let me know, as they have my number if they become available...

I have a brand new set just ordered but decided not to put them on because I may sell my 99/C2. If interested, email me... boo996@gmail.com
