No - just condensation and oil mixed.

Try to get the car fully warmed up to normal operating temperatures and avoid short drives where the car never warms up - and that usually will not appear.

That's good to know! My week day drives are only couple of miles each way so my car never warms to operating temp which I know isn't ideal. I have noticed this issue too.

But as the coolant level doesn't drop, and I change the oil every 6 months (and have added a magnetic sump plug) and the oil changes seem clear each time I have not been too worried about it.

I must say I was worried when I first noticed this but it doesn't seem to get too bad. I clean it up and drive the car on a long run as often as I can and at least once every few weeks to once a month and it's manageable.

Loren is right on.

I had the same thing occur. Noticed it during an oil change, and sent an oil sample off to Blackstone Labs for analysis. The oil checked out perfect - no water or coolant in the sample.

Those short trips on cold days will cause the residue to occur.

Loren is 100% correct. I had an old camry that used to do this due to short 5 mile commutes.

Now that my commutes are 35 minutes, i never see this any more.
