Hi,

if you install the Tequipment Carrera rear wing on a MY02 996 (Tequipment part# 000 044 802 04) you also have to install a front lip (I think it's part# 996 505 555 01) which is included in the kit.

I don't like the rear wing too much, but I am interested in using the front lip which is installed at the lower end of the stock front bumper.

Did anybody install this? Do you have a picture of it? Does it use existing mounting holes and what additional parts are needed in addition to the lip itself? Does it need to be painted?

The part itself is rather cheap (~50$), but before I order it I'd like to see it installed somewhere....

Thanks and regards

... to bring this thread up a bit.... :D

I checked again the part numbers: the picture Loren posted shows the 'old' GT3 front splitter which is different to the one I am looking for.

The 'Tequipment Carrera Aero Kit' for the facelifted 996 includes only a handful of parts: the rear wing, some installation material and the front spoiler.

Nobody ever installed it? No pix available?

Refering to my actual price list this 'spoiler' (part# 996 505 555 01) only costs 40€ (~50$) which would be a very cheap upgrade.

This is the front of my Facelifted C2 with the Tequipment Aerokit CupII

Kit includes

New Rear Decklid with spoiler etc

Sideskirts

New Front Bumper

Lip for Front Bumper

Plus mounting componentry

Unfortunately I ordered the kit with the car when new, so it was fitted at the factory.

I have removed the lip, and it does remove and install very easily.

Hi ZX7R,

thanks a lot, that could be the one..... (and it looks great!)

I think your car has the GT3 bumper, I'll check whether the part numbers of the lips are the same.

I plan to fit it to the stock bumper, but that seems to be quite exotic.... This combination is sold only on the facelifted 996 with the 'Carrera' rear wing.

As soon as you use the GT3 wing you also get the new front bumper.

Wolfgang, Mine is on a C4S. The TT lip. I believe you're talking about the motorsports one that is pictured above, they install easy and work well.

Yep... The bumper is the GT3 one. The lip on a GT3 though, comes standard in a Black finish (unpainted I think)
