pcm2 USA and ROW

ok here goes i hope someone from the US can help me on this preferably with a PCA answer.

I am about to purchase a PCM2 from the US. in the TSB there is two part numbers.

US one is 996 642 234 02

ROW is 996 642 204 02

please please if anyone can help me here that would be great as it will help me in the way of purchasing this item

As the part numbers are different and they are the same item (physically when you look at them) one pcm2 is for the US and the other ROW. My question to the matter is is there any internal difference will it work in australia.

example you cant use a harman kardon cd radio tuner from a japanese imported car due to frequency difference in the radio... so is there a major difference../????
