Ok, so looks like the throwout bearing gave it up on my C2 cab. Not too bad, 84k on it, I'm going to have a new clutch put in, main seal, and while it's out, the IMS bearing, tranny oil change, and why not do the slave cylinder.

Any other known trouble spots easier to fix when the tranny is out? Is the AOS any easier?

Kind of the wrong end of the motor for that, plus on some 996 models changing the water pump requires getting some things out of the way that could be problematic with no trans holding the other end up. I'd leave the pump for another time.

Great suggestions, is the 2002 fuel filter the same as 99-01? AKA, Loren, could you kindly tell me what the part numbers are for the fuel filter, front tranny mount and AOS are for a 2002 C2 cab?

Thank you everyone!

As of MY2002 the fuel filter is integral in the fuel tank unit and no longer requires changing.

Need to know which transmission you have (6 speed or Tip)?

AOS -- 996-107-026-51 -- US MSRP $118.78

Replace the bellows too -- 996-107-237-52 -- US MSRP $16.80
