I've searched and searched and cannot find the steps for removal of a 1999 Nav head unit. To be clear which model, I've included pics.

You need to press the side tabs in and wiggle it out at the same time. I found it helps to stick a finger in the tape slot and use it for leverage to pull!

Thanks, to you both. I simply could not wiggle it out. I've now taken the entire frame out. That was simply enough by removing 4 screws. Once it was completely out, I was able to remove the unit, but it was still VERY snug. I could have fought it for quite a while with the normal method of removal and still probably come up short.
