Hi All,

Replaced my PCM with an aftermarket Pioneer this morning.

After completing I started up and got PSM Failure Workshop message.

Are these related? I.e. I was working behind the glovebox and behind the PCM... could I have knocked something?

Or is this just coincidence?

Peter

It would help to get the car scanned for related codes, but I always go back to the last thing you were working on when this happens; it is rarely just a coincidence.

It's hard to guess. Have read the falout codes and we'll easily discus then.

Is there anything alse that don't work? Does cruise control working?

Does the fault clear if you drive the vehicle? I have seen this warning caused by a low voltage condition, did the battery run down whilst the equipment was being installed?

Peter, I'd be keen to know if you got this sorted out & discovered what had happened - I'm contemplating replacing the pcm in my 2005 Bose system, and have looked at Pioneer as a potential candidate. If you've sorted this out, I'd be keen to know the details of your Pioneer install - best of luck fixing it if you haven't already

I just hooked up a a battery termnial plug for a Centek charger (same model 3300 as Porsche branded) and charged the battery, now I have the same "PSM Failure" and also "PASM Failure" messages on the dash. Checked all the fuses and they are intact. Don't think I shorted anything during the install...do I need someone to reset via PIWIS? Any help is appreciated.
